John Duval Wines is a premium wine producer located in the Barossa Valley.
For many years as Chief Winemaker at Penfolds, John was responsible for making Penfolds Grange. During this time John oversaw a dynamic period of development and the many awards and accolades for its wines helped establish Penfolds as one of the world's great wine brands. Highlights of his career include; in 1989 receiving Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, in 1991 and again in 2000, being named Red Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge in London.
In 2003 John launched his own wine brand. John makes five wines under his range- a white; Plexus (Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier), and four reds; Plexus (Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre), Annexus (Grenache) Entity (Shiraz) and Eligo (Shiraz).
In 2010 John opened a joint cellar door with six other Barossa winemakers - Artisans of Barossa - where you can taste his wines and enjoy a fantastic menu created by Harvest Kitchen. John Duval Wines will never be another Penfolds - it is simply a chance to express 30 plus years of premium winemaking knowledge using some of the best fruit in the world.
