Located in Williamstown in a heritage listed 1850’s barn, less than 1km from the family vineyard property, TeAro Estate’s intimate Tasting Room exudes warmth and character with a contemporary edge. The Tasting Room honors great grandfather Charlie Fromm and his wife Minnie who settled and planted vines in Williamstown over 90 years ago on the property they named TeAro. TeAro is a Maori term loosely translating as ‘Happy Home’.
Today family members Trev, Barb, Todd, Kelly, Ryan and Sally bring their individual talents to all facets of the business from the vineyard, to wine-making and management of the Tasting Room. The family love sharing the characters and stories behind our wines, woven through our elegant, fruit driven wine style.
Relax on the deck and indulge in our Woodcutters Grazing platter bringing the best of the regions produce to your plate. Or on the first Sunday of every month, get moving to Jazz, Blues, Soul and Funk as local artists take to the stage for TeAro Unplugged. Free entry bookings recommended.
In the vineyard TeAro Estate is committed to biological farming methods to sustain our soil and environment for future generations through the use of Organic fertilizer and minimal sprays. “We are not the owners of the land, merely its caretakers. We are to leave the property better than we found it.” – Trev Fromm (2nd generation Fromm family member)
When it comes to events, our Events Specialist Kelly Rowett articulates “attention to detail, professionalism and innovation”. These are key motives for guests selecting to hold functions at the Tasting Room.
