History

The first European settlers came to the region in the early 1800's.  They saw the Barossa as a land of plenty and set about colonisation.  The farming practices and living arrangements of their former homeland was the model for building their homes and churches here.

Location

The Barossa is located approximately 70kms northeast of Adelaide – just over an hour's drive from the South Australia’s capital city.
