Anlaby Quadrangle Concert Series
Sunday 26 September 2010
Globally acclaimed Australian soprano Joanna Cole will perform in the third concert of the annual Anlaby Quadrangle Series.
Whether in concert, recital or on the operatic stage the luminous beauty of sound of soprano Joanna Cole is unmistakable. Her depth of musicality and truly exquisite tone has earned her the honour of appearing across the globe from China to South Africa, throughout Europe, Asia, the Americas and her homeland Australia.
Joanna has selected repertoire reflective of the elegant (and slightly naughty) Edwardian era and well was popular Soprano arias for the Anlaby concert. The performance will take place in the Clydesdale Pavilion at Anlaby, one of South Australia's historically significant heritage-listed homes.
High Tea served on the front terrace of the Anlaby homestead prior to the concert and at interval. This is one of the few occasions each year for guests to join the resident owners of Anlaby and enjoy the grounds and terraces of this historic and graciously beautiful property.
The owners of Anlaby are pleased to acknowledge the generous support of the Anlaby Concert Series by Grant Burge Wines and Red Delish. Co-owner Andrew Morphett commented "Without the vision and support of the arts by people like Grant and Helen Burge, the experience of hearing a world class performer like Joanna Cole in such an intimate regional surround is a sadly rare thing. With their help, we are thrilled to be able to offer this concert series to our Barossa and Clare neighbours and visitors."
The Anlaby Concert Series provides an opportunity for the public to visit and enjoy the grounds at one of South Australia's significant heritage properties. Each year, any profits from the concert series are dedicated to a restoration project to ensure this property is retained for future generations and visitors.
High tea will be served at 2.00pm and followed by the concert. Tickets are $85.00 each and may be booked by calling 08 8566 2465 or via the internet at www.anlaby.com.au.
