Barossa, Baroque & Beyond
A Micro-Fest of fine music in the Barossa Valley
Saturday 1st October & Sunday 2nd October 2016
Following last year’s stunning debut, Barossa Baroque & Beyond is on again over the labour-day long weekend. Bearing in mind the well-worn adage ‘if it ain’t Baroque, don’t fix it’, the format will be similar to last year, with two additional performances.
In 2015 Marg Lehmann came up with the idea of presenting a bespoke event embracing her passions for music and the Barossa Valley…..a festival was born. Marg, who is known for many things, but most of all this bonne vivante of ‘The Valley’ believes the only thing better than good food, wine, music and friends is….well….nothing
Festival Director (and Australian String Quartet cellist) Sharon Draper has added to the retinue of last year’s incredible talent to create what promises to be four very special concerts featuring:
The Australian String Quartet | Sharon Draper | Grant Dickson | The Grigoryan Brothers
Jackie Hansen | Kirsti Harms | Josh van Konkelenberg | Dean Newcomb | Stephen Newton
Sophie Rowell | Adam Page | The Tanunda Town Band…….and hosted by the incomparable Jane Doyle.
