Location: Tanunda
Iconic Barossa winemaker and a founding member of the Barons of Barossa, Peter Lehmann will be honoured at this year’s Declaration of Vintage on Sunday 17th February in Tanunda. He will join the Harvest Parade and be escorted along Murray Street in a vehicle that was so much part of his colourful career. His wife Margaret, will accompany him and the vehicle will be driven by son Doug. Margaret and Peter will join the Barons and Declaration of Vintage award winners and partners at the BankSA Award Winners lunch.
The Barons of Barossa are also delighted to announce that major sponsor BankSA have agreed to continue their support of the Declaration of Vintage for another three years.
From inception the Barons of Barossa have always given significance to the annual grape harvest and its importance to the Barossa community. Over the last 38 years the annual recognition of the harvest has become the Declaration of Vintage and is always held on the third Sunday of February. The event is unique in Australia and not only declares the start of vintage but also gives the vintage forecast and announces the Winemaker of the Year, Vigneron of the Year and the BGWA Growers Services Award. Admission is free and everyone is invited.

11.30am Harvest Parade – Murray Street, Tanunda
