Granny Skills @ Barossa Farmers Market
14 December 2013 - 22 March 2014, 8:30am-10:30am
Location: Cnr Angaston & Stockwell Roads, Angaston
Granny Skills is all about learning how to cook, preserve and make the most of the season’s produce, just like Granny used to.
The Barossa has a proud and long standing tradition of preserving the best of each season’s harvest and with Rebecca’s help the Barossa Farmers Market is bringing these skills to a new generation. Learning (or re-learning) the basic skills for preserving fresh produce, and passing them from generation to generation is a wonderful way to re-connect with Barossa food traditions, create reliance within our community and preserve what is truly special about our local food culture.
The demonstrations will run for 20 minutes, commencing at 8.30am and 10.30am each morning.
