Joylene and Malcolm Seppelt hand make fruit and nut bars, panforte, Barossa mustard, Apple Chutney and hand harvested Wild Olives.
They launched Barossa Picnic Baskets in 1995, when they won a competition run by the Yalumba Harvest Market for an all-Barossa product with their Gourmet Fruit Bar. They have since expanded their offering to include other fruit and nut bars, locally harvested Wild Olives, Apple Chutney and 2 different styles of Barossa Mustard.
All products are handmade and hand packaged on site, in their small production kitchen and are available throughout the year, with the exception of Barossa Wild Olives, only available seasonally.
Gourmet Fruit and Nut Bars include Fig, Ginger & Pistachio Bar, Pear, Date & Walnut Bar and a mixed glace Fruit and Nut Bar. They offer Hot Barossa Mustard and Red Wine & Garlic Mustard (using Grenache grapes from their vineyard in Marananga. Hand harvested Wild Olives include fennel, lemon and garlic or oregano, lemon and garlic.
Joylene and Malcolm have always been passionate advocates for the Barossa, its produce and lifestyle. Barossa Picnic Basket products sit comfortably alongside their vineyard, winery and B&B accommodation in the tranquil hamlet of Marananga in the western Barossa.
