Christmas Twilight at Mount Pleasant Farmers Market!

The Mount Pleasant Farmers Christmas Twilight Market promises to be one of the largest yet with stallholder registrations at an all-time high. The twilight market will be held Friday 21st December, from 5pm till 9pm.
Market Manager Genevieve Hebart says “Save the date in your diary as one not to be missed as our local farmers showcase their products. Come and enjoy the market atmosphere; shop for your fresh food Christmas supplies in a relaxed environment. Meet the producers and growers who will be ready to serve you with a smile, give tastings and chat about their products.
“Mount Pleasant Farmers Market has everything you love and expect at a vibrant farmers market with a very diverse range of stallholders from fish, chicken, noodles, pasta, bread, red meat, cheese, milk, fruit & vegetables, wine, Greek sweets & cupcakes, olive oil, honey, jams and preserves all available at one site. Christmas trees, turkeys and meat birds will be also be available for purchase, but must be ordered prior to the twilight market.” says Genevieve.
Assistant Manager Terese Reeves says “Bring along a picnic rug and enjoy the twilight market at the picturesque setting of the Mount Pleasant Showground whilst listening to local live music. For the children the Fender Blender will be available for some healthy food riding, Father Christmas will be in attendance, and face painting will also be available. The catering shed will have a delicious dinner menu available as well.”
The Angaston Lions Club will be collecting the optional gold coin donation for on-site parking. This is part of the Farmers Market Inc. giving back to the community, with over $3000 to date donated back to local charities from optional gold coin donations collected from on-site parking since the markets inception.
“Renew or buy a Mount Pleasant Farmers Market Membership before 7pm on the Twilight market night and you will go into the draw to win a Mount Pleasant Farmers Market Hamper filled with farmers market produce valued at over $150. The cost for 2013 membership is still good value at $50 which will entitle holders to 10% discount at all stalls, member voting rights and regular special offers and discounts. ” says Terese
Please note that there will be no regular market on Saturday 22nd December but the market will be open as normal throughout the Christmas break.
