Six Wineries in the Southern Barossa Take you on a Road Less Travelled
6 Wineries in the Southern Barossa launch a unique Barossan Tourism experience this week.
Domain Day, Creed Wines, Tearo Estate, Schild Estate, Linfield Road Wines and Hemera Estate have come together to form Six Southern Steps, a wine experience designed to guide visitors through some of the best places to stop in the Southern Barossa.
“The incredibly successful McMurtrie Mile in McLaren Vale has been our inspiration”, says Henry Goodwin from Domain Day.
“We could see the Barossa was missing an opportunity to help visitors get the most out of their stay.”
Six Southern Steps is an excellent way to bring people to the beautiful Southern Barossa, an area which is easily missed by weekenders if they choose to stay in Tanunda or Nuriootpa.
The trail’s tag line is “Step onto our Dirt” 6 Cellar Doors, 6 Glasses.
Visitors can purchase a trail card for only $20 at a participating cellar door, then in their own time and leisure they can visit the 6 wineries. If they spend $25 or more at each Cellar Door they receive a free Spiegelau Glass at every step.
After completing all 6 steps they can go into the draw to win a mixed dozen showcasing the best of the South.
Six Southern Steps is a self drive experience, there is no time limit and bookings are not required.
The trail marks the beginning of a big push from the Southern Barossa Businesses to showcase their beautiful region.
