Intimate. Picturesque. Authentic. Fun.
Welcome to the old Schulz family butchers shop, now the heart of Turkey Flat and the home of our cellar door. This wonderful old bluestone building is tucked away on the edge of Tanunda in the beautiful Barossa Valley, completely surrounded by our historic vineyards, dating back to 1847.
Join us here for an insight into the seriously fun business of winemaking.
We are proud holders of the Barossa Trust Mark for our Shiraz and Cellar Door. The Barossa Trust Mark is our Barossa promise to you that we meet the Barossa standard of care, quality and authenticity. Turkey Flat Vineyards’ Shiraz vines are an integral part of the Barossa Valley’s history. They were among 72 varieties planted here in 1847, part of the original testing garden to see which would thrive in the new land, informing the future of the Barossa Valley. These Shiraz vines were saved from destruction in 1990 and became Turkey Flat Vineyards.
For a tasting while on tour in the region, a small bite over a shared bottle of wine in our gardens, or a private tasting experience - Turkey Flat Vineyards is waiting for you.
