Who can become a Barossa Australia member?

Grape Growers and Winemakers who contribute to the Wine Industry Fund. Barossa Tourism and service-based businesses through our Business Membership options

Levy Contributors (grape growers or winemakers) are automatically considered members if they pay into the relevant industry fund via PIRSA. Business Members (tourism operators, venues, service providers) opt in by joining and paying an annual membership fee. They receive marketing, promotion, and training benefits including visibility on Barossa.com via ATDW listings.

All business, event, and experience listings on Barossa.com are powered by the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW). To appear on Barossa.com and SouthAustralia.com, you need a live ATDW profile.

The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is a national platform that distributes your business information to multiple tourism websites, including: Barossa.com SouthAustralia.com. It's free for South Australian operators and covers categories such as: Wineries, distilleries & breweries, Events, Accommodation, Tours, Experiences and General services. For assistance in setting up your ATDW listing, they offer one-on-one sessions, which are bookable on their website.

Members can upgrade with a Feature Package to receive: A 30-day homepage placement with visuals, inclusion in a monthly Visit Barossa EDM, optional photography support (if your images don’t meet quality standards), reporting on feature performance (views/clicks). Spots are limited and curated by our team to ensure high-quality storytelling.

Yes, depending on your membership type and location: Grape and Winemaker Levy Contributors can vote in Grape or Wine Committee elections. Business Members located within the Character Preservation Zone (CPZ) and SATC-defined Barossa region can vote in Tourism Committee elections. See our Membership Terms & Conditions for full details.
