Barossa Valley chef Mark McNamara is very pleased to announce his return to the restaurant kitchen.
Mark will take the helm as Executive Chef for the new home of St Hugo, to be operated by Pernod Ricard Winemakers in the Barossa. This will mean a change of direction for the Food Luddite Studio Kitchen brand that he and wife Jo-Ann have built in recent years.
Best known for his role in establishing iconic Barossa restaurant Appellation at The Louise and for launching the Food Luddite Kitchen Studio & Cooking School in Greenock, Mark is excited about the new role. “This is an opportunity to build on my belief that the best food is found in the great wine regions of the world. I am relishing the opportunity to create delicious dining experiences, built on Barossa food traditions and tailored to the exquisite St Hugo range of fine wines.” Mark joins the team from 6th June with St Hugo scheduled to open in September.
In joining Pernod Ricard Winemakers to focus on the St Hugo culinary program, Mark will take a sideways step from the Food Luddite Kitchen Studio. His wife and business partner Jo-Ann will introduce a team of talented chefs for the new Food Luddite program of classes set to roll out from July. This new program will feature the most popular classes from the past two years. These changes will ensure an exciting future for the increasingly popular Barossa attraction.
Full details for the Kitchen Studio and Cooking School can be found at the Food Luddite website.
Details on the opening of St Hugo will be released soon.
