"The legendary reputation of Barossa is a product of the honesty and openness of its people, their willingness to share their stories and put their personalities on display for the rest of us who simply love to visit and take home the wines to drink and to share.
The Barossa Wine Auction presents opportunities to buy unique experiences and fabulous wines with outstanding provenance, coming direct from the wineries. There is great diversity, underpinned by the regional flagships Shiraz and Grenache."
Tamara Grischy - Langton's Head of Auctions
The Barossa Wine Auction has been an integral part of the Barossa Vintage Festival since 1965. In 2015, the Barossa wine community embarked on an exciting evolution of this event, partnering with Langton's Fine Wine Auction House.
This move has expanded the Barossa offer to wine collectors the world over and created a truly hallmark wine event in the Southern Hemisphere.
Held every two years in April, the auction is held both online and as dynamic live and silent auctions. Wine collectors from around the world bid for rare and distinguished lots, positioning Barossa as Australia's premium wine region.
A share of the profits support national and local charities. In 2019 a share of the Barossa Wine Auction proceeds went to the McGrath Foundation, Barossa Enterprises and Foundation Barossa, as well as supporting the Barossa Vintage Festival production.
