Barossa Vintage Festival

Barossa Vintage Festival

Wednesday 24 - Sunday 28 April 2019

The 2019 Barossa Vintage Festival program is now available online. The program which showcases close to 90 events, over a five-day period (April 24-28) features a host of dynamic events that tell the Barossa story while celebrating the region’s strong connection to wine, food and culture.

In 2019, we will see the return of events like the much loved Ziegenmarkt, Vintage Festival Parade and esteemed Barossa Wine Auction, but we also welcome new events like the Greenock Feast-ival, Something in the Street and The Parade Carnival and the return of traditional events  like the Vintage Festival Ball and Strassenfest.

From intimate wine tasting and blending experiences, masterclasses and long lunches, to high tea in the garden, lawn parties, picnics and markets; the Barossa Vintage Festival is the whole package when it comes to Barossa experiences, whether that's wine, food, live music, arts or culture.

Almost half of the events in the program are free or under $20 with a huge selection of family friendly events too, making the Barossa the perfect destination for the April school holidays.

The Barossa Vintage Festival has a longstanding history as a celebration of vintage, dating back to 1947 when the Barossa community got together to celebrate the end of grape harvest and vintage.

The festival is acknowledged as the largest and longest running wine tourism event in Australia. With previous Barossa Vintage Festivals having attracted over 55,000 people it is also South Australia’s largest regional festival.

The Barossa Vintage Festival has always been a celebration ‘by Barossans for Barossans’ to which we have now invited the rest of the world to come and celebrate – engaging visitors in an immersive food and wine experience, against the back drop of Barossan history and heritage.

The Barossa Vintage Festival will be held from 24-28 April 2019. In respect of ANZAC Day, no events will be programmed prior to 12 noon on April 25.
