The Barossa History Fair is being hosted by the Angaston & Penrice Historical Society on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of May 2020. The Fair is a 2 day event highlighting the history of the Barossa with a focus on the SA History Month theme of Change. The 20 odd historical organisations within the Barossa will have displays in the Angaston Town Hall. Invited speakers and refreshments will be available in the annexe of the Town Hall. Activities and experiences for children will spread down to the newly restored Angaston Railway Station. Heritage, wine and food experiences will be available in and around the picturesque town of Angaston, which has one of 140 of the state's heritage conservation zones. The Angaston Blacksmith Shop, Museum and History Centre will all be open. Heritage walks will be conducted in the morning and afternoon. Start off on the Saturday morning at the Barossa Farmers Market, meander through Angaston and make it a Barossa Experience. The entry ticket will enable access all to the venues. The ticket will also be your entry to a raffle to be drawn on the Sunday afternoon.
