Barossa Arts Council Inc. invites you to BIOME. More than a long lunch, Biome is an art journey, an immersive feast celebrating and connecting Arts across genres, across regions and across cultures, in one place, the Barossa.
In its inaugural year, 150 attendees will join the long lunch table. An art journey will be created, orchestrating surprising artistic pop-up moments. Art makers, creators and shapers will sit and mingle from across the state, relishing interesting and inventive conversation, learning about arts in other regions and creating new, unique connections and opportunities.
We are all connected. We are all a part of a much larger interconnected creative network. We are a Biome - Connected by Art. A biome is biogeographical unit consisting of a biological community that has formed in response to a shared regional climate.
Our ‘biological community’ of artists and creatives extends far beyond any physical or man-made boundary. Deep connection and understanding through art networks can span towns, states and countries.
To be able to connect, talk, dream and be inspired allows our Art Biome to flourish.
This project was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia.
