The Barossa Trail

Cycling is a popular activity in the Barossa throughout the seasons, where the ever-changing scenery provides a picturesque background for every ride.

The 40 kilometre sealed path linking Gawler to Angaston incorporates the Barossa Trail (Gawler to Tanunda). Suitable for all fitness levels, this 27 kilometre sealed cycling and walking path is beautifully graded and traverses some of the loveliest countryside in the Barossa.

Trail maps are available from the Barossa Visitor Centre, detailing sections of the Barossa Trail including Angaston to Nuriootpa (6km), Nuriootpa to Tanunda (7km), Tanunda to Lyndoch (14km) and Lyndoch to Gawler (13km). The trails offer varying degrees of difficulty, taking in a broad variety of food and wine precincts, retail destinations, beautiful natural bushland and sweeping scenery.
