Kicking things off on the Saturday is Roasted at Steins:
A country spit roast experience on the Saturday night of the long weekend. Slow roasted pork provided by spit and swallow catering, American style slaw, bread and gravy for $25 per head ($15 for children under 12 years of age) serving from 6pm. Enjoy wonderful food to the tunes of Greg Harr playing a comprehensive variety of acoustic tunes from 5pm.
Following through on the Sunday is the Stein's Taphouse chilli eating competition:
Roll on down with your iron stomach, asbestos tongue, and nerves of steel to take on the hottest that Jays Chilli Bar has to offer. Registrations open from 12pm, competition starts at 2:30PM. Prizes sponsored by Greenock Brewers, Rehn Bier, and Ministry of Beer:
1st place: 6 dozen assorted stubbies (3 cartons) 2nd place: 4 dozen assorted stubbies (2 cartons) 3rd place: 2 dozen assorted stubbies (1 carton)
