How ATDW listings are displayed

The all-new Barossa.com has been purpose-built to better showcase the region – and that includes how we display listings.

While we continue to use ATDW as the source of truth, we’ve developed a custom integration that allows us to re-categorise listings and place them where they make the most sense to the visitor, your potential customer. These decisions are led by data — drawn from analytics about how people use the site, and what they’re looking for, when planning a visit to Barossa.

This gives us more flexibility, ensures listings (and your business) are easier to discover, and helps visitors connect with what they’re most interested in.

Food & drink

This section features places to eat, drink and enjoy local flavour — from wineries to cafes.

  • Wineries and cellar doors
  • Distilleries and breweries
  • Restaurants, cafes and bakeries

Events

This section is one of the most visited pages on Barossa.com. We will display one-off and multi-day events only — things happening at a specific time and place. These are drawn from ATDW and shown in an easy-to-navigate calendar.

To be included, your event must have a defined start and end date.

Tasting experiences or activities available year-round are not considered events and are better suited to the ‘Things to do’ section, where they remain visible and relevant all year.

Things to do

This section is dedicated to experiences – the hands-on, immersive, try-something-new side of Barossa.

  • Wine tastings and curated flights
  • Chocolate pairings or produce tastings
  • Guided walks or cultural experiences
  • Kayaking, cycling or outdoor trails
  • Workshops & classes
  • Visiting art galleries, museums

Where to stay

This is where all Barossa accommodation is brought together – from boutique vineyard stays to holiday homes and retreats.

We use your ATDW listing and categorisation, but where needed, we refine how it’s displayed based on traveller behaviour and search preferences.

Tours

This section focuses on guided experiences that take visitors to multiple locations.

  • Guided wine or produce tours
  • Private or group shuttles
  • Full-day or multi-day tours

Making the most of your listing(s)

Our goal is to help visitors find what they’re looking for and connect them directly with your business.

To make sure your listing is shown in the best possible way:

  • Keep your ATDW content up to date – especially imagery, descriptions and contact details
  • Load all the experiences your offer into ATDW
  • Understand that placement is informed by data – we’re using real insights to improve visibility and relevance
