Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre was the national tourism award winner for the Best Tourism Winery and Best Tourism Restaurant in Australia in 2011. The centre incorporates wine tasting, Jacob’s Restaurant, and winemaking and history displays, where we share the story of our company founder Johann Gramp, who planted his first vineyard in the Barossa in 1847.
Outside, visitors can tour the demonstration vineyard of 14 different grapes varieties, take a walk through the picturesque grounds which are home to a wealth of native flora and fauna along the banks of Jacob’s Creek, or simply enjoy the views from the deck surrounded by the native Australian garden.
Jacob’s Restaurant also won the Restaurant and Catering Award for the best tourism restaurant in South Australia in 2010 and 2011. The restaurant offers a memorable culinary tourism experience with a tempting combination of South Australian regional food and wine, and sweeping views of vineyards and hills.
Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre is open from 10am to 5pm daily (except Christmas Day and Good Friday). Jacob’s Restaurant is open for lunch daily from midday and bookings are recommended. Vineyard tours run daily at 11.15am and 3.15pm – charges apply. See our website for further details.
