Barossa History Fair 2024

Discover and celebrate the unique heritage of the Barossa and surrounding regions.

Saturday 4 May - Opening Night, from 6.00pm Join us for dinner at the Vine Inn. Listen to South Australia’s History Advocate, Dr Kiera Lindsey and Kathryn Schilling, who will be launching her book about the history of the Vine Inn. The Tanunda Liedertafel 1850 Male Voice Choir will also perform.

Sunday 5 May - Tanunda Open Day, 10.00am - 4.00pm The Barossa History Fair will bring history alive throughout the town of Tanunda. Enjoy experiences across nine heritage locations:

  • Observe the Welcome to Country
  • Speak with local history and genealogy experts
  • Admire the Victoriana Society promenade
  • Watch the Barossa Light Horse parade
  • Have a go at playing Kegel - traditional nine-pin bowling
  • Explore the Barossa Museum
  • Try traditional arts & crafts
  • Take a walking tour of the Lutheran Churches
  • Listen to expert speakers
  • Go on the family scavenger hunt to win great prizes!
